Pastel Backyard Wedding in Maryland

A handful of beautiful details from a waterfront wedding in Maryland

College sweethearts Maura and Jason set their sights on the groom’s parents’ farm property overlooking Maxmore Creek as the ideal place to say, “I do.” The couple’s outdoor wedding with white décor and touches of lavender was enhanced by the surrounding landscape.

The bridal bouquet included ‘Festiva Maxima’ peonies, David Austin roses, ranunculus, hydrangeas, and seeded eucalyptus.
The altar was created with custom-made window frames and arrangements of ‘Majolica’ spray roses, delphiniums, hydrangeas, viburnum, ivy, and ferns.
Natural elements were used throughout, including birch logs as escort card holders.

The bride wore an Augusta Jones dress and her mother-in-law’s diamond bracelet, which was her “something borrowed.” The groom donned a suit by Ted Baker.
Flower girls, the bride’s nieces, wore crowns of ‘Majolica’ spray roses, ivy, and jasmine.
A cigar bar with custom matchboxes and single malt scotches nodded to the groom’s grandfather, a cigar aficionado.
Custom-built shadow boxes adorned with ‘Majolica’ spray roses and Southern smilax suspend over farm tables at the reception.

The head table was lined with different arrangements of ‘Majolica’ spray roses, ‘Ocean Song’ roses, hydrangeas, viburnum, Spanish lavender, dusty miller, and ivy.
The reception tent, illuminated with candles and string lights, offered guests a view of the creek.
