Richmond-based McKinnon and Harris, the family-owned manufacturer of the highest-quality outdoor furniture, is now open to the public, and you can see their incredible artisans at work.
Bridget Beari is a great spot in Carytown. The designer features local artisans and one-of-a-kind pieces.
At Beckon Home, I find items to fill in niches for a project, and you can pick up gifts as well.
The Quirk Gallery, at the hotel of the same name, has art and unusual finds (many in the hotel’s signature pink)—a must stop for stocking stuffers.
For flowers, I pop into Strawberry Fields, which has more-unexpected blooms and locally made gifts.
